Case study 1 - Butlins Butterflies

Butlins contacted us to discuss ideas for bringing their Amusement Arcade in the Skyline Pavillion to life. They had decided on a country theme and our beautiful colour changing hand painted inflatable butterflies fitted the bill perfectly.

The structures were made off site while our team of technicians erected a very strong rigging grid in the space above the Arcade from which to fly the butterflies. Many hours of skilled work ensued to ensure that the grid could move with the Pavillion structure in case of bad weather and be strong enough to ensure complete safety.

Finally the Butterflies came to Butlins. The final touches were put to the designs; each butterfly was hand-painted in its own individual way. Colour-changing LED lights were hand sewn onto the wings and the Butterflies were flown from the grid. The Butterflies were attached at different angles to fly just like real ones, creating a truly stunning effect, lighting up the area as they go.
